Nottrot monitors make use of Ultra Deep Dimming. Ultra Deep Dimming ensures that the brightness of the monitor can be controlled smoothly in 256 steps with an adjustable logarithmic curve. This makes the monitor perfectly readable both during the day with bright sunlight and at night in the dark. With brightness levels going even lower than 0.01Cd, our monitors can be dimmed to the exact level your eyes feel comfortable with. Different types of dimming are available.
Types of Dimming
There are different types of dimming available, namely: Encoder, Potentiometer, Buttons and Lightsensor. The LED ring near the dimming buttons automatically dims. As a result, there will never be a bright light when the monitor is dimmed.
The different available dimming types:
Potentiometer
This form of dimming is used with the VESA Mount Desktop models. With the Potentiometer it is possible to adjust the brightness of the monitor and turn the monitor on or off.
Encoder
The Encoder is a smart dimming button. In addition to controlling the brightness and turning the monitor on or off, it is possible to switch sources and operate the OSD menu.
Light Sensor (internal)
Automatically dims over the entire range. There is a deliberate delay from bright to less bright in order to avoid temporary influence of e.g. eliminate clouds.
Central Dimming
Central Dimming is possible in two ways, namely with an external Potentiometer or the NControl.
With the Potentiometer you create a 'Daisy chain', as it were. Multiple monitors are connected to each other and can be dimmed remotely at the same time.
With the NControl it is possible to operate the monitors both simultaneously and separately from each other. In addition to dimming, it is therefore also possible to switch inputs, for example.

- Choice to power touchscreen internally or externally. Default: external.
- Make brightness level temporarily visible when changing
