ULTRA DEEP DIMMING
NOTTROT monitors can be equipped with our Ultra Deep Dimming technology. With 256 dimming steps and an adjustable logarithmic curve, the brightness can be controlled with a very high degree of precision.
Our dimming technology is specifically optimised for the lowest brightness range. It is precisely within this lower range that the brightness can be adjusted in very fine increments, ensuring that small adjustments remain genuinely small.
This is particularly appreciated during the transition from day to evening and during night-time operations, when a step in brightness that is too large can immediately be experienced as distracting.
Types of Dimming
There are different types of dimming available, namely: Encoder, Potentiometer, Buttons and Lightsensor. The LED ring near the dimming buttons automatically dims. As a result, there will never be a bright light when the monitor is dimmed.
The different available dimming types:
Potentiometer
This form of dimming is used with the VESA Mount Desktop models. With the Potentiometer it is possible to adjust the brightness of the monitor and turn the monitor on or off.
Encoder
The Encoder is a smart dimming button. In addition to controlling the brightness and turning the monitor on or off, it is possible to switch sources and operate the OSD menu.
Light Sensor (internal)
Automatically dims over the entire range. There is a deliberate delay from bright to less bright in order to avoid temporary influence of e.g. eliminate clouds.
Central Dimming
Central Dimming is possible in two ways, namely with an external Potentiometer or the NControl.
With the Potentiometer you create a 'Daisy chain', as it were. Multiple monitors are connected to each other and can be dimmed remotely at the same time.
With the NControl it is possible to operate the monitors both simultaneously and separately from each other. In addition to dimming, it is therefore also possible to switch inputs, for example.

- Set maximum and minimum brightness
- Choice to power touchscreen internally or externally. Default: external.
- Make brightness level temporarily visible when changing
- Curve and brightness LED ring and cap switch, as well as standby mode adjustable. Can also be turned off.
- Temperature monitor readable and adjust optional fan control
