N-Line Maritime
Optional SDI input
for use with FLIR cameras
Optional SD/HD/3G-SDI on all N-Line monitors SDI is commonly used in professional video and camera applications, offering advantages like longer cable runs, robustness, and uncompressed transmission for superior video quality.
To support use of FLIR cameras on vessels the optional HD-SDI input has been introduced. It supports automatic rate detection of 3G/HD/SD-SDI.
With the HD-SDI input you have some great benefits:
- No need for SDI to HDMI converters.
- Video Quality: HD-SDI supports various high-definition video formats, including 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. It offers excellent video quality with high resolution, color depth, and image detail.
- Transmission Distance: HD-SDI signals can be transmitted over long distances using standard coaxial cables, typically up to 100 meters without the need for signal boosters or repeaters. This makes it suitable for large-scale installations.
- Uncompressed and Lossless: HD-SDI transmits video signals in an uncompressed and lossless manner, preserving the original image quality without any compression artifacts. This is particularly important for professional applications where signal integrity is crucial. Note: The SDI signal is transformed into HDMI signal in the monitor before being processed by the scaler chip.
- Adoption of High quality CANARE BNC connectors
